Workshop - GENDER AND SUSTAINABLE LIVELIHOODS IN MINING

This may be of interest to some members of the Vatukoula Community!

Resource Management in Asia Pacific Program at the Australian University
is organising a 2-day workshop on Gender, mining & sustainable development
on 6-7 November, 2008 in Canberra, Australia. This workshop intends to
highlight and disseminate information on the Australian Research Council
Linkage project between Kaltim Prima Coal and ANU on gender, mining &
sustainable development.

A small assistance towards accommodation and other costs might be extended
to participants from developing countries.

To those needing assistance towards airfares, we cannot commit full
assistance beforehand, but will try to seek funding from AusAID if you can
indicate your interest with a title and a bried description of the topic
to be covered or an abstract as soon as possible. Please contact either
